Eighteenth

This is one month late but what the heck, I'm posting it anyway because this has been one of the most memorable birthdays ever! Remember how I greeted myself in my "I'm 17 turning 18" post? And when I told myself to have a blast? Well... *wink* I definitely didn't spend my night drinking and dancing in a club (just in case you're reading this Mom.) Nah, just kidding. I had an amazing four days, five if you count when I ate out with my family and family friends back in Saudi but that was way back so four, starting from my birthday. I'm glad I had a separate day for each of the special people in my life. One for my college friends, relatives and last but not the least, my high school friends. Being 18 is supposed to be one of the major stages of your life because you're finally an "adult." It's supposed to be a time where you look back at your 18 years of existence and smile because of the people you've met, the places you've gone.. basically the life you've lived. (Don't get me wrong. Life doesn't stop at 18!! It starts. *wink* I've been winking too much, haven't I? Sorry. Ok, this is too long.. I should really put the closing parenthesis now..) So this is what happened during those awesome days...

I was only supposed to have a birthday dinner at Bierra and treat my college friends but turns out, this sweet boy (who I happen to love by the way) transformed the dinner into a surprise debut. I had such an amazing time and the night was perfectly perfect.  He told me he'd planned it a month before and even made a Facebook group for my birthday. Just typing that makes me smile. Haha.

The next day, me and my relatives had dinner at Haru, the new Japanese restaurant in Kapitolyo. It was a sort of reunion as well since I didn't see all of them so often. It was nice to spend time with people who have watched you grow throughout the years. One of my cousins asked where the big party was and my other cousin was like "This is the big party!" Hahaha! Ohh my cousins make me laugh all the time.

I met up with my high school friends (shout out to Novi, my high school AND college classmate) the next day and we had lunch at Fish & Co. at Mall of Asia. It's been a long time since I've seen them and gosh, I realized how much I missed them. The others I invited weren't able to come but that's alright. We still had so much fun! We watched Breaking Dawn Part 2 after and oh my that movie was ASDFGHJ. Quoting Novi... it definitely felt like a rollercoaster of emotions. We also rode the MOA eye (not that different from the London eye, I assure you. Lol.) and the view was amazing. Had a great time with them and hoping to see them soon!

I was supposed to blog a detailed version of each but since it's a bit too late and my laziness is coming over me...I leave you all with that! I might blog on the food and movie soon though.

So I can't believe I'm 18 already and it's been more than a month! I just want to thank everyone, my family, relatives, friends, in short my loved ones for making me the person I am today and for making all this possible. Love you all!

Pray for Newtown

Such sad news this is. Looking at these little kids' pictures makes me cry. How could someone do such a horrible thing? I pray for these angels who are in heaven right now. Just imagining how their parents feel gives me such heartache. They all had lives ahead of them; a high school and college to go to, people to meet, emotions to be felt, things to do... and to think all that gone because of some painful and terrifying death. My prayers and condolences reach out to those who died in this incident, not only to the kids but to the members of the staff who were shot as well. They died trying to save these children and for that they will be remembered. Also to their parents, families and to the whole world because this is just one example of how evil the world is becoming these days. There are so many angels up in heaven who weren't able to have a future because of some reason, may it be because of violence or may it be because of some unfortunate incident. It just goes to show that anything can happen these days. May they all rest in peace.

All I Want for Christmas

It's almost Christmas and to get into the holiday vibe.. *sings* I don't want a lot for Christmas, there's just SOME things I need.. Heehee. Here's my Wishlist 2012!

1. The Lover's Dictionary (This is definitely at the top of my list! The others that follow have no particular order.)

2. Scrapbooking materials (Always on my list, I can never get enough! Haha.)

3. Art supplies (I apologize for my frustrated artist-ness.)

4. Feather Calligraphy Pen (My want for this started back when the first Harry Potter movie came out. I used to pretend with fake feathers. I even taped a pencil to a feather once just to feel like a wizard. Haha!)

5. Wax Seal Set (Another one that started with the Harry Potter movies!)
6. City of Lost Souls (The 5th book of the Mortal Instruments Series! The first movie, City of Bones will be coming out on August 2013 and I'm so excited for that!)

So those are on the top of my wishlist, hoping to get two of them in my Kris Kringles this year. ❤

But that's not all I want..

7. SWEATERS! (I know it's hot here in the Philippines.. but sweaters are just too cute!)

8. Casual Dresses!

9. Brown & Floral Oxfords

I know these are very materialistic but it doesn't hurt to wish for them! I know Christmas isn't about presents and gifts so even if I don't get any of these, it's alright.. there's always next Christmas.. or other holidays. Haha! Kidding.
